As our host always says “She can’t make this stuff up”!, so if you missed this week’s show you missed a truly entertaining show.   Last week the crew whipped your sex life into shape and this week on Playing Devil’s Advocate – Hosted by Ms. KiKi the crew let all the clowns on the internet have it! This week was dedicated to all the SOCIAL MEDIA SHENANIGANS pulled online. This week’s topic was inspired by the pictures KiKi has posted in the past few weeks. There were surprise phone calls, mending of fences and a juicy “Hit List” so listen to the archives to hear how it all went down!

Up first, “inboxing”…should it or could it be used to flirt with someone you are interested in? Possibly, but as with everything there is a protocol to the way it’s done.  Now when you’re dealing with a public figure, celebrity or whatever, why do some believe that because you can inbox them you should? Or even better why do some believe it’s an invitation to their personal page to post inappropriate inbox messages and pictures. I actually agreed with “Mr. Know it All” Peepin’ Shaun that in real life some of these scenarios have happened. Ms. KiKi’s message to the ladies about being thirsty and having a low status bar is a must hear.  So, by all means listen to the archives and tell us what you think.

Our resident “Fallen Angel” Sporty was putting the people on blast, actually dropping government names and city residences. Our first incoming call was from a blast from the past Psyko! Now this is just my opinion but Mr. Psyko needs slow down on the Drinks of the Week because I am still confused as to what he was talking about. LISTEN TO THE ARCHIVES and tell me what you get out of the call.  What I learned this week is people actually are thirsty enough to create fake profiles to stalk their interest online! SERIOUSLY?! Now some people were in the chat room and Facebook questioning KiKi and Sporty‘s intentions for naming names and the answer was thoughtful, concise and slightly heated.  The follow up InstaTalks story drove the reasoning home. 

Again my girl the Producer Chandra showed up and showed out with the “Drink of the Week”! She created a drink that precisely described the behavior of these online degenerates. Tomfoolery will definitely solve some of the issues that KiKi and Sporty are having. Tomfoolery for sure describes the second caller Justin…if they can drop names why can’t I?  Now Justin really went off the deep end when his girlfriend betrayed him through Facebook messages. Please, Listen to the Archives and tell us what you think about what he did!!

The chat room was on fiyah! The comments were flying in every direction and as always it’s a safe place to voice your opinion. Not all agree with our host and cast and as the disclaimer states…its ok. If you have never joined the CHAT ROOM SHENANIGANS you are truly missing out.  LISTEN TO THE ARCHIVES and hear some of the more spicy and controversial comments. The comments brought out a confession from our host (take notes Sporty). Now KiKi had an interlude with someone and the story ends with “follow instructions”.  Seriously KiKi??? You know there were a few details left out of that confession, so I guess Sporty can put the note pad down.

I guess Sporty was taking notes because her confession about her Facebook fight was on point. Again she dropped government names and residences. Personally I didn’t know you could fight virtually and actually end up with hurt feelings and broken friendships, but now I know different!  PEOPLE, get a life! I happen to agree with KiKi as to why someone would post their side of the situation and KiKi and I are also obviously on the same page about these goof balls that put ALL their business on Facebook.  It takes the host to rant about these special individuals and their philosophizing cousins. So…moving on to the next caller, Dawn; who in my opinion, was getting down with the first caller and the Drink of The Week.  Bottom line, kudos to Dawn for having the balls to come on the show, being a grown ass woman and her arrow obviously hit the mark. You have to listen to the archives and hear for yourself.

This next segment was what I was really looking forward to, Ms. KiKi’s HIT LIST.  She started off with the imitators, which and I quote “…is not the highest form of flattery….Inspiration is”.  Moving down the list was a young man we’ve heard about before, who showed up drunk to a first date.  Well KiKi blasted him with screen shots and all! Wow, must not have known who he was dealing with. Maybe he was nervous, but he must step up his game! The next victim on the list is a dude who inbox’s some slick inappropriate statements and wants to feel shameful when an assistant responds instead of the intended. Come on fellas “OWN YO SHYT”! My favorite cast member the resident “voice of unreason”. FB Shaka showed up and turned it out.  Listening to the archives is a must just for Shaka and his special brand of wisdom. I think Shaka still carries a pager, SERIOUSLY!

Last week on PLAYING DEVIL’S ADVOCATE™ -Hosted by Ms. KiKi we discussed the definition of love.  What came out of that discussion  was  the understanding that you must first learn to love yourself.  What we didn’t talk about was that in order to truly love yourself, you must first get out of your own way.  You may have heard the saying “You are your own worst enemy” and what that means is that there is a part of you that will try it’s best to prevent you from making changes and improvements in your life.  That part of you is your subconscious.  Your subconscious believes that what it knows to be true is, for better or worse, is what is best for you.  There is a comfort that comes along with the learned behavior it has accumulated over the course of your life.  When you start thinking of or doing something it is not familiar with, it will recognize this as pain.  The fear of this pain, no matter how unrealistic it may be, is what causes all the things we end up doing to sabotage ourselves.  Gone unchecked, we will continue to stay in a state of stagnation, unable to move forward.  None of us will have the same reasons for why we behave the way we do, as life is a singular experience.  What we all can do is take a deep look in the mirror and see far enough into ourselves to be able to meet “THE ENEMY WITHIN”.

Ms. KiKi was back in class with another lesson to help educate us all about the inner workings of life.  There are many levels of counter productive activity that will keep us in denial.  One of the major ways we stand in our own way is through procrastination.  There are 3 reasons why we procrastinate 1. Lack of Focus 2. Lack of a goal or plan 3. Having a negative feeling towards something.  What we should do is confront these things in order to move past them, but for many it’s easiest to just avoid them.  The problem is that the more you avoid, the more that will pile up until we become overwhelmed. Fear and doubt are other bricks on the road of self sabotage.  It is the killer of all dreams.  Fear and faith can not coexist. If you truly believe you are capable of doing something you can’t be fearful of it.  The faith Ms. Kiki is talking about is the faith you must have in yourself. She went on to breakdown other ways we excuse ourselves from facing our negative self images.  Things such as Overcompensation, Laziness, Self Fulfilling Prophecy, Real vs. Ideal and  Negativity.  To hear the rest of the conversation you’ll have to listen to the ARCHIVES.

Sporty Spunky Angel felt it was a good time to tilt her halo and take a shot at me, Peepin Shaun.  Since I am the proclaimed “know-it-all” she asked Ms. KiKi if this was a form of self sabotage.  I mean honestly the nerve of her throwing “ME” under the bus!  I will agree that tuning out the thoughts and opinions of others limits to our own overall perspective of the world.  Now I’m always willing to hear the things that are being said to me and I can take whatever value there may be in it.  That doesn’t mean that I personally will view those things as meaningful information.  After all, what else can be expected of me?  Facebook Shaka dropped in with his brand of humor and gave us a list of “Ways You Know You Are a Self Sabotager“.  All I can say is…he continues to makes us laugh and shake our heads at the things that come out of his mouth. This week’s “Drink of the Week” is sure to help you gain enough courage to fight off your demons.  Our producer, Chandra looked to the heavens for inspiration and  created this potion called “Vanilla Skies”. 

The Ask PDA letter is a clear definition of someone standing in their own way.   Our writer has two issues they need to deal with.  The first is a house guest that has long since worn out their welcome.  Should being a family member be an excuse for not correcting a bad situation? The second is an employee that needs to be fired.  This is not something anyone should take pleasure in, but if that person is not right for the job and could cause you financial loss then you should be allowed to put aside your sympathies and do what needs to be done.  You are the one who has more to lose here.  Tell us what you think after hearing the letter in the ARCHIVES.

There really is no better subject to discuss on February the 14th than that of love.  Love is what binds us, what motivates us and what can also destroy us.  It’s been written about, endless movies are made about it and it’s been theorized about to no end.  It’s been broken down and dissected to its very essence and still people struggle to find it, understand and hold onto it.  It’s something that each and every person on this planet has enjoyed, endured and equally it has caused them pain. With all there is to know about it people still ask the age-old question…  What is love?  Well on this edition of PLAYING DEVIL’S ADVOCATE™ -Hosted by Ms. KiKi we are going to do our best to explain to people all the things one must consider when contemplating this very crucial element of ones own existence. That’s right so take notes because we’re going to tell you exactly what “LOVE IS…”

Ms. KiKi put on her coaching cap tonight and led this very detailed discussion.  She began by asking both Sporty Spunky Angel and I, Peepin Shaun to describe how we each define love.  She then started to break down what love means from a very natural and psychological perspective.  From the dictionary’s definition of the word it’s easy to see why people have such a narrow understanding of what it is.  It’s not a feeling or an emotion.  In fact it is a combination of types, stages, styles and languages.  All mixed with a heavy concoction of chemicals that your brain releases into your system.  Ever heard of someone being addicted to love?  What other chemicals do people become addicted to?  That’s right we’re all a bunch of love junkies.  In our own unique way, we’re not all that much different from a crack head looking for the next fix.  Knowing the process that we are experiencing should lead people to understand that is all starts from within.  Loving yourself first, means knowing and accepting yourself and being free to express who you are to others in a positive and nurturing manner.  Imagine how much healthier your intimate relationships would be if you were able to induce the knowledge of how you love and why you love.  We can’t help who we love, but the things discussed on the show will give you a broader understanding of why love can be so damn confusing.

First of all there are at least 15 Different Types of Love:

Infatuation, Romantic Love, Eros, Compassionate Love, Unconditional Love, Conditional Love, Puppy Love, Maternal Love, Paternal Love, Soul-mate Love, Spiritual/Divine Love, Love of your country or patriotism, Self-Love, Brotherly Love and Tough Love.

There are 3 Stages of Love:

Stage 1: Lust

This is the first stage of love and is driven by the sex hormones testosterone and estrogen – in both men and women.

Stage 2: Attraction

This stage is the amazing time when you are truly love-struck and can think of little else. Scientists think that three main neurotransmitters are involved in this stage; Adrenaline, Dopamine and Serotonin.

Stage 3: Attachment

Attachment is the bond that keeps couples together for the natural urge to procreate. Scientists think there might be two major hormones involved in this feeling of attachment; Oxytocin and Vasopressin.

There are 6 Styles of Loving:

Based on the same premise of the color wheel in which there are primary and secondary colors (which are a mixture of 2 or more primary colors). The thinking is the same as it relates to the styles of love.

Three primary styles:
1. Eros – Loving an ideal person
2. Ludos – Love as a game
3. Storge – Love as friendship

Three secondary styles:
1. Mania (Eros + Ludos) – Obsessive love
2. Pragma (Ludos + Storge) – Realistic and practical love
3. Agape (Eros + Storge) – Selfless love

KiKi was in her element and on a roll! She even covered the Triangular Theory of Love by Psychologist, Robert Sternberg!

Several listeners and chat room participants asked many questions about being addicted to love, the possibility of being in love with more than one person and stalking!  KiKi, forever the resource, quickly offered answers and psychological facts to back up her responses….and after Rocky Miller & Facebook Shaka chimed in, we discussed the

As a toast to the theme of this show, our producer Chandra created something that would appeal to those with a blood sucking mentality.  A Vampire’s wet dream indeed. This week’s “Drink of the Week” is called “Shot to the Heart”. 

The Ask PDA letter is an example of how the early stages of love can go awry.  When two people are not at the same stage or even in the same type of love, signals can get mixed.  Our writer says that their love interest seems to be showing them all the signs of wanting to move forward.  They spend a significant amount of time together and they are showered with attention and affection, but has also clearly stated that it’s not going to become any more significant as far as labeling or defining their relationship.  How should one feel when you seemingly have all you need except the commitment of monogamy.  Are they being unrealistic or are they simply being played?  Find out what we said, then tell us what you think!

This week on PLAYING DEVIL’S ADVOCATE™ -Hosted by Ms. KiKi we decided to tackle a subject matter that is one most people are uncomfortable discussing.  It’s a subject matter that is a central foundation of these United States and every once in a while we as American citizens must take a good look at ourselves in the mirror.  Racism is this topic I speak of and of late it seems we have plenty of reason to introduce the conversation and we do enjoy having the uncomfortable conversation.  I’d like to believe that it is possible for all people to get along without being labeled or treated differently based on skin color or ethnicity.  However an argument can be made to support the fact that it seems as though society is set up to intentionally make living more difficult for certain people.  Those certain people being minorities of course.

Ms. KiKi feels that racism in today’s society is no longer something that can be blamed on the ignorant opinions of the past. Part of the reason why it continues to exist is due to the ignorant attitudes people continue to display today.  We got a good glimpse of that during the recent Presidential elections.  There is a portion of this country that resents the fact that there is a man of color in the White House.  Through social media everyone has a voice and can in fact be heard.  When those voices supported the rhetoric of hatred it became clear that racism is not reserved for the 50 and older white demographic.

The media continues to limit our imaginations when it comes to there being any diversity with the roles that are left for people of color.  Most of them are stereotypical and show the worst that any of us as people have to offer the greater good.  Upon the release of the movie “Django Unchained” a growing controversy leaped forth over the use of the word Nigger.  Some feel it was over used and over sensationalized.  Some felt that it was appropriate for the period of time in which the move takes place.  Why pretend as though it wasn’t common.  Some don’t want to be reminded of the uglier side of America and some wish to pretend it never existed. Should it make black people upset to sit in a theater with a mix of other people and hear the word over and over again?  Should it make you uncomfortable? Is it fair to say that black people really need to move past owning the right to be offended by this?  I’m not sure if anyone who hasn’t suffered a particular type of discrimination should be allowed to tell someone else to get over it. There was more discourse about the merchandising of the action figures from the movie so listen to the archives so you don’t miss it!!

Affirmative Action was discussed and I, Peepin Shaun  was asked if I felt as though being a product of the benefits of this program has made my life any easier. The scholarships afforded me as a student definitely exposed me to a side of life that has been reserved for the wealthy and connected. Still as an adult it has slightly made me wonder if those experiences haven’t somewhat given me unrealistic expectations of what it can offer.  By looking at me no one is going to see my level of education or experience.  They will see me as a man of color and form an opinion based on however they may profile me.  I then have to somehow prove to them otherwise.  Perpetually being underestimated can prove challenging.  If anything it has made me more aware of disadvantages I may be face with in the real world.  Whether it be from an employer or a police officer , sometimes one can’t help but feel like some things are just unfair.  

We also covered such topics problems with  immigration, political leaders, unfair business practices and the privatized of prisons. Joining us as he has for the last few weeks, Facebook Shaka gave us another Top 5 list.  This week it was the“Top 5 things you should never say to your black friend” .  The humor he adds to the show is a welcomed part of what we do.  You’re going to have listen to the ARCHIVES to get the full conversation. We all seem to agree that racism still exists, but it exists in a much more subtle way.

Our producer Chandra, made amends for the light weight drink she made for KiKi’s birthday last week.  This week’s “Drink of the Week” is called “Rising Sun” and it’s a real treat for you Sake lovers out there.

The writer of this week’s Ask PDA letter finds themselves in love with someone who on the surface appears to be a very kind and caring person.  When around people of another ethnicities they come off as evolved and tolerant, but when among their own kind they exhibit the opinions of someone who may be racist.  They have asked them to be more sensitive to the nature of the things they say (as the writer has family members who are ethnically identified as the object of their lover’s racism), but this person sees no need to change their behavior.  Should they continue to be subjected by this way of thinking and write it off as poor humor, or should they face the fact that they just might have fallen in love with a closet racist?

This week on PLAYING DEVIL’S ADVOCATE™ -Hosted by Ms. KiKi we’re celebrating the birthday of our illustrious host.  What better way to do so than to put her under the microscope and turn the spotlight on her for a little well deserved ridicule and retribution.  It takes a certain type of character and humility to allow your friends to say the most foul things imaginable about you.  It comes from a place of love, but there is a lot of truth expressed in the things that are said.  Traditionally, a proper roast involves a meaty animal that has a spit run through the length of its body and it is then slowly rotated and cooked above an open-pit of searing fire. This is the perfect way to describe what was to come for Ms. KiKi on this night.  She being the meaty animal of course.  An attempt was made a few years back to roast her and quite frankly it failed.  So there was a good deal of pressure for Sporty Spunky Angel to not let that happen again, because we would never hear the end of it.  With me, Peepin Shaun  at her side.. failure was not an option.  I was more than happy to step out of my usual mild-mannered self and make sure I took full advantage of this rare opportunity.  Welcome to “Happy Birthday Kiki — Who cares??”

Not many people can say they have a body part that could be larger than life.  So large in fact that it has become its own entity and even has its own voice.  That’s right… her ass has its own distinct personality and you won’t believe the outrageous things it says.  That voice was allowed access to the roast by the very very funny comedian Rodney Perry who graced our show by headlining the roast.  Just to make sure we had all angles covered  we were joined once again by Facebook Shaka, who had not 1 but 2 Top 5 Lists. He ran down the “Top 5 Reasons I’d Never Work for Ms. KiKi” and “Top 5 Reasons I want to Date Ms. KiKi”.  We also had a few callers get on the line to join in on the fun and one of them called from a very interesting place indeed.  This show is one of those shows that is a MUST LISTEN!  It is 2 hours filled with laughter, so take some headache medicine before you click the link.

We had so much fun and Ms. KiKi was such a great sport and that is why we all love her so. December 21st, 2012 has come and gone and the world is still here.  Maybe the Mayans got it wrong or maybe we just misinterpreted the meaning of it all. Perhaps the world has come to a proverbial end.  An end to the fashion of life that had been built over hundreds if years.  None of us can deny that the way we live life  now is drastically different from what it was 20 years ago.  It may seem as though we have expanded upon the horizons of human conditioning through the emergence of social technologies, but I myself have started to question how much we have lost in its wake.  I’m not alone in this thinking.  More and more we are privy to the signs that there is something increasingly wrong with the way people are behaving.  Seemingly, on a daily basis another story emerges that some horrible tragedy or crime has been committed and we are then inundated by every last graphic detail as it spreads throughout the networks we are now all connected to.  Now you can try to ignore it and you can try to wish the best for mankind, but it seems as though hope is running out.  Pandora’s Box is being closed and it may be quite some time before it reopens.  As individuals we can only do our best to stay sane during these troubled times, but this week on PLAYING DEVIL’S ADVOCATE™ -Hosted by Ms. KiKi we’re collectively asking,  “HAS THE WORLD GONE MAD?!”.

Ms. KiKi, Sporty Spunky Angel and Peepin Shaun Amin (that’s me), ran down a laundry list of rhymes and reasons as to why we think the world is spinning out of control.  See if any of these resonate with you.

This week we were treated to the unadulterated humor of Facebook Shaka-the “Voice of Unreason“ He had his own top five reasons as to why he thinks the world has gone mad.  If you missed his first appearance on our show.. Let me just say this… he’s a wild boy and will say things that will not only bring tears to your eyes, but make you question what it is you just heard him say.  You’re going to have to listen to the archive to find out exactly what he said that had us in stitches.

We’re starting to have a growing concern about our producer Chandra.  How does she manage to outdo herself each and every week?  In the realm of drink making she knows no boundaries.  This week’s “Drink of the Week” is no exception.  I’m not sure how many of you will be scared by the name alone, but if you feel like you need a jump-start, kick-start or you just like to toe the line of life and death,  then this is the drink for you.  We present to you the  A.E.D (Automated External Defibrillator) <– Click the link for the recipe 

The Ask PDA letter is a case of self-perpetuating guilt a parent can feel when raising children.  We have become a society which overtly coddles its children under the guise of being protective and save them from the hardships of past generations.  I’m not saying that’s a bad thing to do, but parents have to be careful not to debilitate their offspring to the point of having a wrongly placed sense of entitlement.  One that may one day come back to smack you upside the head.  Our writer has apparently provide a great life for her two children.  They are both adults and both employed, yet she has never asked them to contribute to the finances of living in her house… excuse me “their” house.  Now as a retiree she needs help and believe it or not, her kids are unwilling to.  She is questioning whether of not she is being too harsh by asking them to help out or get out.  REALLY???

HAPPY NEW YEAR!  It’s 2013… you made it!  Yet another year has passed and you’re now sitting there faced with all the false promises you’ve made to yourself.  That’s right you did it…you made some resolutions. How dare you attempt to change and better yourself each and every year. By the way, how’s that been working out for you?  Can you truly expect that overnight, when you toss away the old year’s calendar that you really get a new start?  Just because the new calendar is blank doesn’t mean you get a clean slate.  Slowly but surely day by day… wait scratch that. Rapidly day after day it will begin to fill up with all the crap you failed to rid yourself  of over the last 12 months, maybe even the last 12 years!  Now I know you mean well and have perhaps even convinced yourself that this year will be your year.  All because the clock struck twelve, some glittery orb descended from upon high and the skies above showered you with a warm illumination of fireworks.  You closed your eyes and made a wish.  Perhaps you even stole a kiss, but the fact of the matter is that when you awaken from your drunken stupor you’ll look at the little list you placed neatly beside your bed and say… “SHIT I’ll start this tomorrow!” Nothing has changed. You didn’t wake up in an alternate universe or another… better you.  No your reality is very much the same and the chances of you living up to those words scrawled across that piece of paper are slim, but not entirely impossible.

This week on PLAYING DEVIL’S ADVOCATE™ -Hosted by Ms. KiKi we’re discussing the top 10 New Year’s resolutions that people commonly make and then soon fail to accomplish.  What starts off as a blueprint for new behavior over the course of the year turns in to To-Do list for the first month of January.  By mid February it becomes a list of chores you will no doubt tear up into little pieces and go on about business as usual.  Well we’re going to help you extend your chances of keeping some of those resolutions, by giving you some basic guidelines to help make the most of your good intentions.  We’re calling this show   “NEW YEAR–SAME CRAP!”.

Ms. KiKi gave us a rundown of the 10 things people most often resolve to do each new year.  Sporty Spunky Angel and Peepin Shaun Amin (that’s me) chimed in with our perspectives as to why we believe people seem to fail.  The 3 of us then explored ways in which we can better our chances of success.  So here are the Top 10 New Year’s Resolutions.  How many of the them did you make?

Great, you have the list. Now what the hell do you do with it? Before you can find solutions to some of these issues we suggested getting to the root of the problem first and working your way outward towards your goal. We gave some great advice as to how you can begin that process, but you’re going to have to listen to the archive to find out exactly what that is.  All I can tell you is that you’ll need to take baby steps and find someone to hold your hand and promise to never let go.  Good luck!

The Ask PDA letter was all about changing behavior.  A mother doesn’t seem to understand why her fourteen year old daughter feels like she is being smothered.  I mean how would you feel if you weren’t allowed to use any kitchen appliance without supervision?  Would you like it if you could never choose your own clothes?  Wouldn’t it suck if you never were allowed to have a sleepover? Wouldn’t you just love getting that call every hour on the hour from your mom when you are hanging out with a friend?  Is it socially dysfunctional to never be allowed any activity with the opposite sex?  Mom of course just thinks she’s being a good mom…a really good mom.  Somehow she doesn’t see any of this behavior as smothering.  Nope it’s all done out of love. Love, fear, paranoia and possibly even regret.  The world is a rough place. It’s best to prepare your child to understand how to deal with it and make informed choices on their own.  Mind you mistakes will be made, but that’s life.  It’s supposed to be an experience, not a lifetime daycare center.

While it was merely my intention to blow off some steam because was so tired of the holiday shenanigans, I actually got more than I bargained for! We had a full house of laughs last night, so if you had a chance to listen to last night’s “Holiday Hangover“ you already know…if you missed it, YOU MISSED A GOOD ONE!!!

As the host, I started out talking about how I feel about Christmas Day Opening Nights for movies….and it quickly turned into a rant about Spike Lee’s irrelevant ass one man boycott of Django Unchained! Spike you’re a hypocrite and a hater! Now let’s move on….

When my angry lil brother, Facebook Shaka joined the madness with The Regular Guy, Rocky Miller all Sporty Spunky Angel, Peepin Shaun and I could do was laugh uncontrollably! They tag teamed us comparing notes about how their top notch gift giving skills were unmatched and disrespected by their children, wives, girlfriends and mistresses! Since we were on the topic of giving gifts, had a few choice words for Facebook’s attempt to guilt me into buying a gift for Rocky which led to me feverishly searching online for the perfect gift for him, Sporty dropping another poem and Shaka to ask the question, “How long should you know someone before you are obligated to buy them a gift?” If you want to know what became of that question, you must LISTEN TO THE ARCHIVES!!

After Sporty Angel shared a little more of her poetry, there was some discourse about how egg nog is stupid and let’s just say our producer Chandra was NOT HAPPY and shut us all down!

I made mention that I am irritated by holiday shoppers because they are rude, obnoxious and financially irresponsible Facebook Shaka went on the defense in an attempt to put “rich people” in their place! Then Ol Rooter called in….(he had been showing out in the chat room, but apparently that wasn’t enough!) All I can say is that somewhere in the exchange between Ol Rooter and Rocky, the KKK, the N-word and good weed was discussed! Want to know how?? LISTEN TO THE ARCHIVES!!

…and if we hadn’t sufficiently pissed people off I lowered the boom on Santa!!! Well sort of…I “innocently” (cough, cough) shared my thoughts about parents perpetuating the LIE about his existence which led to Facebook Shaka’s admission about hating Santa, Rocky mentioning something about an Etch A Sketch™ and Shaun’s continuous objection to the commercialization of the Holiday Season! Then somebody took a breath and out of the blue Sporty dropped a bomb about Santa, Mrs. Claus and the elves!!

On top of all the craziness our producer was still was able to provide us with the last warm and tasty “Drink of the Week” for 2012 —- “Santa’s Little Helper“! The last “Ask PDA” letter of the year was no slouch either! What would you do if ….oh nevermind, go listen to the archive to hear it for yourself.

It’s the Holiday Season. It’s a time for giving. A time when our biggest concerns become making those we love happy.  Customarily this is done by showering them with gifts. Those of you fortunate enough to have an intimate relationship in your life whether you’re married, have a lover or just dating someone special you can spice up your love life with a little creativity.  To help in this endeavor we here on PLAYING DEVIL’S ADVOCATE™ -Hosted by Ms. KiKi came up with some delightfully sexy ideas to add to your items under the tree or to put in that special stocking. Now these things may not be appropriate to ask Santa for, but he already knows which of you are the naughty ones. Now that I think about it, maybe that’s why he doesn’t visit me anymore. Hmm…I never really thought about that–Oh well I can guarantee these things are better than cookies and milk any day of the year!  So take notes as we bring to you “KIKI’S KINKY CHRISTMAS LIST”.

The object here is to express your love and enhance your lust simultaneously. Remember it’s not about the destination, it’s about the journey. It’s all the small experiences that make life worth living and if you open your mind up sexually you’d be surprised at all the benefits that come along with it.  To help you live a fuller sexual life Ms. Kiki introduced to the show the author of  The Sex Bucket List, Michael Lucente. This is an activity book filled with hundreds of sextivities for you to check off your list before you die.  Would you have sex in the back seat of a taxi? How about in a shopping mall?  Maybe you’ve had sex on top of the kitchen table, but have you done it under the table?  It doesn’t take a lot to be creative, but this book will surely give you plenty of new ideas to try with your partner.

 Sporty Spunky Angel thinks it would be great to make a kinky coupon book redeemable upon request. The coupons can range from things such as being good for one kiss, or a certain favorite position or even for foreplay during halftime of the game. They can also be used as a peace-offering to end an argument.  So make sure that you create coupons that are not only for things you receive but for things you are willing to offer. Make them realistic things that your partner will actually be willing to do so they will use them.  Just remember it’s a non negotiable situation when a coupon is put into play.

They call me Peepin Shaun Amin for a reason. It’s because I appreciate the visual stimulation provided by the female form. So to peak your man’s visual response mechanisms why not dress up in a holiday themed outfit. Santa’s helpers are elves, so to show how much you’re willing to play the part why not enjoy unwrapping your man’s present in this number. Jingle Bells Lingerie. Few things look sexier on a naked woman than a pair of high healed stilettos. KiKi suggests that every woman own a pair or two and don’t be afraid to put them on.. put only them on and refrain from taking them off during your Holiday romp.

The comment of the night came from our very own Rocky Miller, who said “Everything goes with Butt Naked!”  I have to agree with him on that,but I’m not so sure about his request for collard green flavored lubricant.  It’s never a dull moment when Rocky gets on the line with us.  To hear the other crazy things he came up with and all the other interesting things we discussed and laughed about, you’re going to have to listen to the archive!

KiKi even posted a blog she wrote earlier this year entitled Sex and the Senses, which explains how vital all the senses are for a complete sexual experience.  The thing to take away from this show is that we each need to step outside our own boundaries every once in a while and explore sides to ourselves that we may not even know existed.  How ever will you know whether or not you’ll like something unless you’re willing to try it first.  Have fun with it.  Be playful and adventurous and explore each other in ways you never had before.  Each new experience will only help to discover yourself in greater detail and it can be so much damn fun at the same time. Keep this in mind… if you’ve ever cross the line and someone yells out “COOKIES!’ well you’re either with Sporty and she wants you to stop what you are doing or Santa just came down the chimney and he’s very hungry. If that’s the case you’d better run and get the milk.

This week’s  ”Drink of the Week” was actually a triple threat. Remind me to never get into a drinking contest with Chandra.  Anyone that can create drink like this should not be tested.

The Ask PDA letter deals with what many of us might be feeling this time of year.  Some of us might be feeling a bit neglected, or work schedule may not allow you to follow through with intended plans. How should our writer deal with having back to back weekend plans canceled to do their partners work schedule and out of frustration they are told to  just deal with it. Mind you they’ve only been together for a year, so is this a sign of inconsideration or selfishness? Hear the letter for yourself and let us know what you think.

In life we all must deal with relationships and in our lifetime those relationships will come in many dimensions and forms. They will shape us, influence us and both add to and take away from us. Whether it be with a family member, co-worker or mate we will find ourselves in situations that can be painful and confusing to deal with. Of course it would be wonderful if our every interaction with another human being was a positive experience. Sadly this is not the case, but that  doesn’t mean that we can’t learn from and grow as individuals in the face of  our greatest emotional adversities. The problem most people seem to have is that they are too afraid to let go. Holding onto something or someone who is not only detrimental to your happiness, but will never truly belong to you is just silly.  Free will is that thing we all seem to value, yet when the actions of another tears a hole in the fabric of our makeshift utopia we can’t seem to chalk it up to human nature, leave well enough alone and move on. So how do you make sense of things, when you are more invested with your heart, ego and pride than you are with your mind? Well that’s exactly why this show is called “THE RELATIONSHIP FIXER”.

Ms. KiKi offers her expertise and understanding of the human condition to answer questions about difficult relationship scenarios.  Sometimes we all need a voice of reason to help snap us back into reality and I can’t think of a better voice for such a  job. As candid as she is the show started with an admission of guilt. It’s a rare thing for her to ever lose her cool and go off on someone, but it happened.  When a friend or family member chooses a mate that no one else seems to like, how long does it take before you let it be known that this person is poisonous. It’s easy to say that it’s none of our business, but when you witness time and time again that this person’s actions are of benefit to no one, it’s only a matter of time before even the most civil minded person blows their top. It may not be her typical way of handling situations of this nature, but she is human after all.

Sporty Spunky Angel  and I,  Peepin Shaun Amin challenged her life coaching skills and asked a series of questions that we just might find ourselves in one day:

What if your partner is found to be interacting with someone online in a flirtatious manner, but claims it’s all harmless computer fun?  Is this considered a form of cheating? Some may quickly say yes even if nothing physical has occurred. However if you’ve never had a conversation about your personal boundaries there has to be some leeway offered before you start down the path of mistrust. If it’s never talked about it will only allow for the possibility of it to go further. We can all hang ourselves with bad decisions and claim ignorance as a means of defense. So if you have facts to support your concern it’s in your best interest to calmly address it and be clear about how it makes you feel. At least then they will know that they are crossing your lines and you don’t have to talk yourself into giving them a pass after the mess up.

What do you do when you get a text message from a “friend” of yours that was not intended for you, but is clearly ABOUT you? Being talked about behind our backs is never something we want to find out about, especially coming from someone we consider a friend.  Hearsay is one thing, but when you are reading a text that this person wrote, badmouthing you and they were careless enough to mistakenly send it to you… is there really anything to talk about after that? Sooner or later people will always show their true colors and once you have that information you can decide exactly how to deal with that person going forward. If they didn’t respect you enough to talk to you directly about how they feel, who knows what else they may be saying about you.

You think your roommate’s BF is a really nice guy. You also know that your roommate cheats on him all the time and he has no clue.  You feel badly and wish you could somehow tip him off, but should you say anything? KiKi doesn’t suggest getting yourself involved in their business, but she does think if it makes you uncomfortable there is something you can do. To find out what that is, listen to the archive!

What makes Ms. KiKi such an expert about the simpler aspects of the games we play? Yeah it’s because she has studied human behavior, and it’s also because she spends and has spent the better part of her life advising and coaching clients, friends, family and strangers but I’m referring to the fact that she has written a book about it. This book is a guideline for those who decide to engage in these particular activities. The book is a great tool to gain a better understanding of the protocol that should be put into place to protect yourself and your primary interest. Our resident legal expert Ikiesha Al-Shabazz, was back with us this week with an interesting situation of her own. She’s “spending time” with a younger man who wants to have kids, but she has already fulfilled that part of her life.  If you were in this situation could you allow your mate the chance to go outside of your relationship to become c0-parents with someone else and still be willing to be supportive of them going forward?

It was a fun show and what can be taken from each and every one of these situations is that we all need to work harder on our communication skills and not be afraid to admit the truth. I’d also add that it’s never a good idea to stay somewhere you are not wanted or being treated with respect. For better or worse you can move forward knowing that you were honest about how you felt and fair enough to offer the other person the opportunity to do right by you.  Sounds simple enough right? Yeah well it rarely ever seems to work out that way, unless you’re just cold and heartless or your name is Shaun Amin.
