Transgender Females and the “STRAIGHT” Men Who Date Them — The Recap

This topic came about from the previous week aired on Wednesday, August 19, 2011 ”Ask PDA” letter and the writer asked “KiKi do you consider transgender women to actually be women and if not what are they?” The writer then went on to say he dates transgender and biological women and he is STRAIGHT—–hold up. What did he say? Yeah that is EXACTLY what we said which prompted this very topic, we knew that this would have questions flying and the controversy flowing.
Before I go any further into this blog let me say that I am going to give MY personal opinion on this and I welcome your comments & suggestions. Now that I have that out of the way…let’s do this!
Okay correct me if I am wrong but the definition of being STRAIGHT or more politically correct, “Heterosexual” is: romantic and/or sexual attraction or behavior between members of the opposite sex or gender.
Now where does it state that a man who sleeps with another man (dressed as a woman or not) is STRAIGHT…realistically he isn’t! This is not just coming from me, but coming from society! This is not just about “thinking” this is what we want you to be, but what you actually ARE and just because you don’t want to come to terms with being labeled homosexual, you choose the title of being straight…NOT! If you are attracted to females, a BIOLOGICAL female with “p*essence” or attracted to MTF transgender, you are at the very least, bi-sexual! Now that’s okay as long as you and your partner are accepting of this behavior and you are comfortable in your skin, nothing else matters.
However, it is delusional to say that you have NO interest in a male if your woman, who was BORN male, has a penis and you are having sex with them and admit you have NO problem performing oral sex with her penis! That in my opinion, is bi-sexual and/or homosexual…IJS.
Our resident medical expert, Dr. G was on deck providing us with the medical information that was very insightful. She explained how the procedures are performed, the hormone therapy involved and the psychiatric evaluation that is required prior to the actual gender re-assignment surgery (GRS) being performed. At one point in the show, Todd asked Dr. G if the chromosomes are different after the surgery and you maybe just be as surprised as I at the answer to that question, but you have to listen to the archives to get that answer! >>>>>LISTEN NOW
Here are some of the questions that were asked:
- Does your DNA change after the surgery?
- What defines gender? Chromosomes or DNA?
- What exactly is transgender?
- Why would a man want to date a transgender female is he is “straight?”
- If and when do you inform the person you are dating that you are transgender?
- How honest are you with the women that you date that you have had relationships with transgender females?
The panel consisted of two transgender females and a “straight” guy who dates them. They were asked a boat load of questions by the chat room participants and our callers. They were straight forward and honest which was exactly what was needed to bring some understanding to some who may have had questions or needed clarity. Kitty & Jaz, thank you again for taking the time to speak so candidly with us. Paul, although I don’t understand your method of thinking this is where I will honorably agree to disagree with you but walk away with respect for you; thank you as well.
A comment made by one of our chat room participants simply sums up the exact reason we do this show:
“I don’t believe in discriminating against ANYBODY for who they are, but to EXPECT everybody to be comfortable with something is not realistic either. Nobody has the right to HATE/DISRESPECT but EVERYBODY has the right to be uncomfortable“.
We have the UNCOMFORTABLE conversations to heal and find solutions for our listeners and quite possibly ourselves.
